Buxa opens up for more tourists

Good News for tourists planning to visit Dooars this festival season. The forest department officials at Buxa Tiger Reserve have decided to reopen the old forest safari routes to Bala and Dima rivers in the core area of BTR. These safari routes were closed for the last several years. Instead forest safari was allowed to the forest fringe area of Bhutia busty and Chunia. The scope of wildlife sighting is much better in the new safari routes.

Also Sikiajhora boating has reopened for tourists. Now tourists can enjoy a boat ride deep inside the forests of Buxa again. Bhutanghat, a tourist spot on Bengal-Bhutan boarder that was closed for many years, will also open from 15^th September. Overall it will be a great festival season for tourists visiting Eastern Dooars area of Buxa Tiger Reserve.
